Troy Shambhala in November

Dear Troy Shambhala,

Leaves fall from the trees in their own time, and if we try to put them back on the branches, people will think we are crazy. And what good would it do anyway? Come sit and watch the leaves fall out of your mind in their own time. Sitting each Tuesday in November is from 6:30-7:30 PM, as usual. And do join us for the following extras after sitting:

Nov 1: Group dinner in downtown Troy (Mmmaybe pizza? Mmmaybe Korean?)

———————————————————–

Nov 8: Snack Salon – Feel free to bring something to share! Food, Conversation, and Meditation is the Sakyong’s prescription. We can do all of that in one shot!

———————————————————–

Nov 15: Birthday Celebration for Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche – Help us celebrate Sakyong screen-shot-2016-10-31-at-9-41-50-pmMipham Rinpoche’s birthday by practicing the Shambhala Sadhana. This guided meditation was composed by the Sakyong to deepen our personal and social connection with basic goodness. It is a simple, powerful, direct engagement of our inherent richness and strength. All are welcome to participate, and instruction will be provided. This will be done in place of regular sitting practice, so please arrive on time (6:30). Then we will practice the basic goodness of birthday cake.

Nov 22: Audio or Video teaching from the Shambhala Buddhist tradition – Part two of the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche: Ruling Your World
